Risk Assessment for Croxton House Bed and Breakfast
Carlton House is a Budget Boutique Pet Friendly Guesthouse situated in the beautiful East Coast resort town of Scarborough. A little bit old-fashioned, this lovely and charming Victorian property is only a minute walk to the Esplanade and the beautiful North Sea views.
A stroll through the picturesque Italian gardens will lead you to the beach and the iconic Spa complex. The guest house is located in a quiet yet popular residential area of South Cliff that is in very close proximity of Scarborough Town Centre and all the amenities the famous tourist destination can offer.
Popular attractions in town such as the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Peasholm Park, Open Air Theatre, Alpamare Water Park and the Sea Life Centre are 1.7 – 4km from the property. The favoured South Cliff Golf Club is only 2.8km and the famous Oliver Mount Racecourse is a 3.8km drive away.
We are located on the edge of the North York Moors National Park -4.8km and the idyllic Cleveland Way route passes just at the back of Carlton House.
We pride ourselves in being affordable yet not making any compromise with the quality of the service we offer. It is more of a homely feeling and personal touch, rather than the formal hotel appearance. All rooms are individually designed and have unique names to reflect the ambience of the room.
The Guesthouse is a family business with just a few precious members of staff that are members of our business family known as Carlton House Team. We treat our guests with respect and are attentive to their needs, so you can always talk to us and let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay with us more pleasurable.
Carlton House does not offer a dedicated car park. However, the surrounding streets provide options for on-street parking. Here are the available choices:
If you intend to use your car during your visit, we can offer you a complimentary parking disc. This disc allows for up to 3 hours of free parking between 9am to 5pm, and on Sundays between 12 noon to 5pm. After the 3 hours, you’ll need to move your vehicle. You can park freely from 5pm to 9am every day!
If you’re thinking about parking your car and discovering the area on foot, we can offer you a Parking Permit. This permit lets you leave your vehicle on the street near Carlton House for the entire day without having to move it. A minimum charge will apply, so please ask about it on the day of your booking.
Blue Badge Holders enjoy unrestricted parking in disc zones all around the area. However, please note that charges may apply in car parks.

As proud pet owners we know how important it has been for us to be able to take all of our family members on a holiday, even the four-legged ones. We have a Pet Policy in place and will send it to you once you let us know your pet is coming to stay with us. The agreement to the policy needs to be sent to us back via email or just a text message to 07948714140.
If you are bringing an additional pet, a small charge per night/per pet will apply. We have a restriction of maximum two pets per room. Please read our Pet Policy here
