You might not know it, but there’s a bit of a revolution going on at the moment. The #bookdirect movement.
With this being my first blog, I thought it might be interesting to discuss the #bookdirect initiative that’s going on at the moment. If I was more organised in getting my website in order and being able to write this blog, I would have coincided it with #bookdirect day, which is held worldwide on the 1st June.
I think most people (ashamedly, myself included) will have used online travel agencies in the past – Laterooms.com to book their B&B getaways. But with the demise of Laterooms.com it shows that guests are using these less and less.
The #bookdirect movement encourages potential guests to book with the accommodation provider direct, with the majority offering discounts if booking direct.
We at Croxton House Bed & Breakfast are part of this movement, as we believe that our guests receive a much better and personal experience when they book direct with us rather than with a third party.
